Design sessions were planned to explore the technology with kids, finding out what concepts, skills and tools they were familiar with and what needed specific explanation. Co-design doesn't require participants to be experts in the technology used, but it does require curiosity and engagement. Activities were as simple as looking through the e-textile kits and trying to guess the pieces and as complicated as using sample codes to program a circuit to light up.
