Pilot Session
Designing the future library
We introduced kids and families to the co-design concept through a simple design activity, using "Bags of Stuff" to design a future library.

Who Joined In?
This session was open to the public and allowing people a chance to find out what co-design is and how we would use it to prepare for future library programs. We had a good level of participation and created many fun idea as individuals that we combined to make one large library in the end of the session. We even expanded our roster of long term participants this session.

What are "Bags of Stuff" ?
They are exactly what they sound like, bags filled with all kinds of stuff. You might find yourself working with scrap paper, 3-D printed pieces, feathers, sequins, beads.

No session plan was written for this.
We worked with UW Graduate student Kung Jin Lee to run this session based on plans used by UW KidsTeam.
